A — terracotta at full strength
No new tokens at all. The accent is promoted from hairline to surface: primary button filled at rest, one featured tile in solid terracotta, the CTA band swapped from taupe to terracotta, phase numbers in accent.

B — A + sage + one error color
Everything in A, plus sage carrying the structural/secondary role (eyebrow, phase rules, tile rules, band) and garnet-700 as a dedicated error color. Terracotta stays the primary CTA so the brand read does not shift.

diagnostic — the -100 tint bands
My claim was that sage-100 and slate-100 will read as a grey smudge rather than a tint, because both are cooler and darker than cream (90–91% lightness vs cream's 96%). Here they are butted directly against cream and against taupe, which is the band color we already have. Judge it yourself.

diagnostic — is clay far enough from terracotta?
The proposal says clay "can't be mistaken for the brand accent". Clay sits at 8° hue, terracotta-700 at 21° — 13° apart. garnet-700 is my counter-proposal at 356°, 35° away. Same sentence, same weight, on the same background.
