Ocean Garden began as a liability — a building left unfinished since the 1980s, weighing on the townscape around it — and became an opportunity to give the site back to the community.

Our office worked with the investor on both the regulatory path and the design, reshaping the structure into 151 apartments wrapped in balconies with perforated, organically patterned screens.
